What is Sanity Presentation mode?
Presentation is Sanity's split-screen editing surface. You see your live website on one side and the document fields on the other. Editing a field updates the rendered page in real time, so you can write and lay out content with the page in front of you instead of toggling between tabs.
How does Sanity live preview work?
Live preview streams document changes from Sanity to the rendered page as you type, so the title, description, and other fields update immediately on the right-hand side of the studio without needing to publish or refresh. It works because Sanity ships drafts in real time over the same channel that powers Studio.
What is visual editing in Sanity?
Visual editing means editors interact with the rendered page itself. Clicking on a heading, paragraph, or image jumps you to the matching field in the studio. Combined with live preview, it makes the editing experience feel closer to a page builder while keeping the underlying content structured.
Does Sanity have a visual editor?
Yes. Presentation mode is Sanity's visual editor. It pairs the structured document fields with a live preview of the front end, and lets editors click elements on the page to jump to their fields. It's available in Sanity Studio v3 and later when Presentation is configured in the studio.
